The British composer Geraldine Green was born in the Irish capital Belfast and discovered her love of composing in her childhood, but could only pursue it in secret. During her studies in London, she was encouraged from several sides to perform her pieces publicly. On "Green Island" only chamber music works by Green can be heard, all tracks are first recordings. It has been played on several radio stations, including BBC3.
